7/2/1851 Married at the Register Office in Stamford, witnessed by two of Eleanor's siblings.
11/20/1853 Daughter Mary Jane born at Stamford [295], who was to be the only surviving child of the couple.
1853-1855 Eleanor died.

ca.1855 John married his second wife, Mary Stafford.  The couple would eventually have 5 children.

The family is listed as living on Red Lion Square, Stamford, with Mary Jane and 3 other children.  [352]

The family still lived on Red Lion Square, Stamford, with their 5 children and a neice and nephew.  Mary Jane was listed in the Census as a Dressmaker.  [353]
ca.1872 John, Mary, child Mary Jane and the other 5 children immigrated to Courtland, Norfolk Co., Ontario, Canada.
6/10/1875 John's daughter Mary Jane married Robert Beals in Guelph, Ontario.

John, Mary, and 3 of their children were listed in the Census for Middleton Twp., Norfolk Co.  [354]
3/2/1901
.John, 72, died and was buried in the Courtland Fellowship Baptist Cemetery in Courtland, Middleton Twp, Norfolk Co., Ontario.  [356]  John's second wife Mary died in 1921, aged 90, and two spinster daughters died in 1935 and 1936, aged 69 and 79 -- all buried in Courtland.
